June 15, 2019 (Mangalore, India) A series of grand religious and celebratory events were held to honor the opening of the Shri Guru Raghavendra Matha Temple on Kulur-Kavoor Road in the Karnataka district. The Temple has been newly renovated and expanded on their existing premises. Additional facilities include a dining hall and a renowned Community Center, which is open to citizens from all levels of the community for spiritual, educational and societal use. It is offered to Mangalore citizens at no cost for family functions, celebrations, and other community activities.
The temple is sponsored and supported by the Ravichandran family, who are successful entrepreneurs with more than 30 years of experience in the technology industry. Various religious events took place beginning on May 24 and ending with the Brahmakalashotsavam on May 29, with an evening service of Thottilu Seve by His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Vidyavallabhatheertha Swamiji, Sri Kaniyoor Matha, Udupi.
The temple is a culmination of a visit ten years ago by Dr. V. Ravichandran and his wife Indira Ravichandran to Sri Guru Raghavendra Matha, which was in need of financial assistance. At that time, it was managed by Rohini Amma, a devotee of Shri Guru Raghavendra Swamiji, and Ms. Amma made a wish to the Ravichandran family. “Someday you’ll have to support this Matha and take it forward,” she said.
This spring, the wish was fulfilled with the approval and blessings of His Holiness Sri Sri Palimar Swamiji, Sri Kaniyoor Matha, Udupi Dr. Ravichandran and his extended family have been supporting various temples of Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy both in Mangalore and Mantralaya. He and Mrs. Ravichandran believe that their company’s growth and success over the years is due to the blessings showered on them by Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy and His Holiness Sri Palimar Swamiji.
