March 28, 2019 (Louisville, KY) – GlowTouch, a leading provider of contact center, business processing, and technology outsourcing solutions, announces a grant of $10,000 to state and international charities. The company recently participated in industry trade shows Contact Center Week Nashville and ICMI Contact Center Demo Las Vegas, and at both events, GlowTouch executives invited booth visitors to spin the “Wheel of Giving.” The life-sized spinning wheel offered an engaging, meaningful way for participants to help decide how giving back initiatives will be allocated to three charities GlowTouch is associated with.
GlowTouch is a certified Women’s Business Enterprise company that has been providing personalized business outsourcing solutions—and a people-first philosophy–since 2002.
“Our people-centric culture means we put human care at the heart of everything we do for our employees, our clients, their customers, and the communities we serve,” said Vidya Ravichandran, President of GlowTouch, who founded the company in Louisville 17 years ago. “It’s important to us to fulfill our social responsibility by leading with our hearts and building a positive atmosphere of giving back. That’s why we offered a fun, hands-on way for trade show guests to help us earmark grants.”
The charities benefitting from the “Wheel of Giving” are:
- The Akshaya Patra Foundation: The Bangalore, India, non-profit is dedicated to ensuring no child in India is deprived of education because of hunger. GlowTouch funds will support a new “mega kitchen” to serve 50,000 children attending government-aided schools.
- KY-SEF: The Kentucky Science & Engineering Fair (KY-SEF) expands educational opportunities for the state’s middle and high school students and enhances the visibility of science and engineering by providing annual competitions that recognize student excellence in science and engineering research.
- The BLOOM Charity: Founded by two adoptive mothers of Moroccan children, BLOOM’s purpose is to improve educational and psychosocial outcomes for orphans living in Morocco who spend an alarming amount of time indoors, in confined spaces, and without stimulation.
The “Wheel of Giving” will appear again as GlowTouch staff travel the country; more dates to be announced.
